Honestly, I've never tried running a Pistol offense. Whenever I've had a scramble-first type QB, I tend to default to either Michigan (NCAA 14 came out when Devin Gardner had just taken over the QB reigns from Denard "Shoelaces" Robinson, so that playbook is pretty scramble-friendly) or just using one of the custom playbooks.
