I have had to fix a lot of PSA AKs in my time. A lot of the GF3 problems that would effect function are with the retaining pin in the firing pin falling out, badly machined (and even rarely out of spec) carriers and rails, and premature wear on the trunnions. I finally got these out to the range and both run like a sewing machine. The action on the GF3 is very rough, and it is from the profile on the hammer. I will be smoothing this out to improve the action. The rifle shot straight, had a properly aligned front sight, and ate every type of ammo I put in it. The ZPAP also has a hammer forged chrome lined barrel, and forged trunnion/bolt/carrier. As to differences between the PSA and the 103, it's pretty widely known that the KR-103 has a billet bolt, whereas the PSA has all forged components. The PSA-made receiver is 1mm thick and made of hardened steel. This is more than enough to withstand any abuse you may throw its way. The rivets that are used to attach the front and rear trunnion to the receiver are well made and installed correctly.
